The Spring Gingham is a British wool throw with a matching tasselled fringe that gives it a finished, considered look. The gingham pattern is classic, but the colourway is anything but expected. It turns the sofa you've been looking at all winter into somewhere that makes you want to sit down and relax. The wool is soft and warm, with a weight that works as well draped over legs on an April evening as it does layered over bedding.

How It's Made

This throw is woven at one of Britain’s last remaining vertical woollen mills in Yorkshire, a mill that has been producing wool cloth since 1837.

The wool is British, sourced from farms within the UK and woven entirely in Yorkshire. At the mill, every stage takes place under one roof: the raw wool is dyed, carded, spun into yarn, and woven on rapier looms.

After weaving, the cloth is scoured using pure water drawn from boreholes 800 feet below the mill, then finished and pressed to bring out its natural warmth and soft handle.

Every inch is inspected three times during production. From farm to finished throw, this is a product made in Britain from start to finish.
