These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the At Home With The Rudds website.
We have written them to be clear, fair and easy to follow. They set out how orders are placed, how delivery and returns work, and the rights and responsibilities of both you and us.

2. These terms
These terms apply to all orders placed by consumers through our website.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By ordering from us, you agree to them.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
3. Product information
We take care to describe our products as accurately as possible.
Because many of our pieces are tactile, natural and crafted in character, small variations in colour, finish, texture, pattern placement, or detail may occur. Screen settings and photography can also affect how colours appear.
These natural or visual variations will not usually be treated as faults where the item is otherwise as described.
4. Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to buy the goods selected.
After you place your order, you will receive an email acknowledging that we have received it. This does not mean your order has been accepted.
Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed, when we send you a dispatch confirmation email or otherwise confirm that we have accepted your order.
We may decline an order before acceptance for reasons including, but not limited to:
- The item is unavailable
- There is an obvious pricing or description error
- We cannot obtain payment authorisation
- We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of the website
- We do not deliver to the address supplied
If we do not accept your order, we will let you know and refund any payment taken as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Prices and payment
All prices shown on our website are in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
Prices shown on product pages are the prices payable at the time of ordering, together with any delivery charges shown at checkout.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but this will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting your order, we may cancel the order and refund any payment made.
6. Delivery
6.1 Where we deliver
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.
6.2 Delivery charges
- Standard UK delivery: £7.95
- Free UK delivery: on orders over £100
6.3 Delivery times
Most orders arrive within 4–7 working days.
We prepare orders Monday to Friday. Orders placed later in the day are usually processed on the next working day. We do not normally dispatch on weekends or bank holidays.
For rural, Highlands and Islands locations, delivery may take a little longer.
6.4 Carriers and packaging
We usually send orders using Royal Mail or another suitable delivery service.
Fragile items, including lamps, lampshades, candles and diffusers, are packed with particular care. Some orders may arrive in more than one parcel.
6.5 Delivery address and failed delivery
It is your responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address and to make reasonable arrangements to receive the parcel.
If an order is returned to us because delivery could not be completed, or because it was not collected within the courier’s holding period, we may charge the original delivery cost to send it again.
6.6 Risk and ownership
The goods remain our responsibility until they come into your physical possession, or into the possession of someone you have authorised to receive them.
Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.
7. Our 28-day returns policy
In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 28-day returns policy for most items purchased online.
To qualify under this policy, items must be:
- Returned within 28 days of delivery
- Unused
- In their original condition
- Returned with their original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Please keep all packaging until you are sure you are keeping the item, especially for lamps, lampshades and other fragile items.
7.1 Items not usually eligible under our goodwill returns policy
Unless faulty, damaged or not as described, our 28-day goodwill returns policy does not usually apply to:
- Opened candles or diffusers
- Personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items
- Items marked Sale
- Items returned without suitable packaging, where resale is no longer possible
- Items that have been used, altered or damaged after delivery
This section is separate from, and does not reduce, your statutory rights.
7.2 How to start a return
To start a return, please email sales@homewiththerudds.com with your order number and the item or items you would like to return.
We will reply with the next steps and any packing guidance needed for fragile pieces.
7.3 Return costs under our goodwill policy
If you are returning an item under our 28-day goodwill returns policy because you have changed your mind, we will provide a prepaid return label via email.
We recommend using a tracked service and keeping your proof of postage.
7.4 Refunds under our goodwill policy
Once the returned item has been received and checked, we will refund the purchase price to the original payment method.
We aim to process returns within 5–7 working days of receipt, although your bank or card provider may take a little longer to show the refund.
8. Your legal right to cancel online orders
If you are a consumer and buy from us online, you have a legal right to cancel most orders within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel. You may do this by emailing sales@homewiththerudds.com. You may also use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms, although you do not have to.
Once you have told us you wish to cancel, you must send the goods back to us within 14 days.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising your statutory right to cancel.
If you cancel in accordance with your statutory rights, we will refund:
- The price paid for the goods; and
- The basic cost of standard outbound delivery
We are not required to refund any additional amount paid for premium or upgraded delivery services.
We may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what would reasonably be allowed in a shop.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method within 14 days of our receiving the goods back, or receiving evidence that they have been sent back, whichever is earlier.
8.1 Goods exempt from the statutory cancellation right
The statutory cancellation right does not apply to certain goods, including clearly personalised or bespoke items.
9. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
We take great care with our products and our packaging. If something arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at sales@homewiththerudds.com with your order number and photographs where helpful.
If goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, your rights under consumer law apply. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
10. Exchanges
If you would prefer a like-for-like exchange, please email us, and we will do our best to help, subject to stock availability.
An exchange request does not remove any rights you may have under consumer law.
11. Promotional codes
From time to time, we may offer promotional codes.
Unless we say otherwise:
- Promotional codes apply only to eligible full-price items
- Only one promotional code may be used per order
- Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash
- We may withdraw or amend a promotion where reasonably necessary
Promotional codes remain subject to any specific terms stated alongside the promotion.
12. If we need to cancel or amend an order
Before dispatch, we may need to cancel an order where:
- An item is unavailable
- There has been an obvious pricing or description error
- We are unable to fulfil the delivery
- We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity
If we do so, we will notify you and refund any money paid as soon as reasonably possible.
If we need to contact you about your order, we may use the email address or telephone number provided at checkout.
13. Complaints
If you have any concerns at all, please contact us first at sales@homewiththerudds.com. We genuinely want to put things right where we can.
14. Our liability
We are responsible for losses you suffer if they are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
We only supply goods for domestic and private use. We are not liable for business losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of your statutory consumer rights
15. Intellectual property and use of our website
All content on this website, including text, images, branding, product names, graphics and design elements, belongs to At Home With The Rudds or our licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or used without permission.
You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not damage, disrupt or misuse the site.
16. Privacy
Your use of this website and any personal data you provide are also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
17. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier disruption, severe weather, strikes, supply chain interruption, fire, flood or systems failure.
Where this happens, we will try to let you know and minimise the effect as far as reasonably possible.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time.
The terms that apply to your order will be the version in force on the date your order is placed.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you will still benefit from any mandatory protections available to you under the laws of that part of the UK, and you may bring proceedings there if applicable.
