Delivery & Returns
We want ordering from At Home With The Rudds to feel simple, reassuring and well looked after from start to finish.
Below you’ll find everything you need to know about delivery, returns and what to do if something arrives damaged or isn’t quite right.

- Most items can be returned within 28 days of delivery, provided they are unused and in their original condition and packaging
- Returns are free on full-price orders. For sale items, return postage is the customer's responsibility.

Delivery
UK delivery
We currently deliver only throughout the UK.
Standard UK delivery: £7.95
Free UK delivery: on orders over £100
Estimated delivery time: 4–7 working days
We prepare orders Monday to Friday. Orders placed later in the day will usually be processed on the next working day. We do not dispatch on weekends or bank holidays.
For rural, Highlands and Islands postcodes, delivery may take a little longer.
How your order is packed
We take particular care when packing fragile pieces.
- Lamps are boxed securely with protective wrap
- Lampshades are boxed separately where needed to avoid pressure marks
- Candles and diffusers are packed upright and cushioned carefully in transit
Some orders may arrive in more than one parcel, especially when fragile items need to be packed separately.
Address changes and missed deliveries
If you need to change your delivery address, please email us as soon as possible at sales@homewiththerudds.com. If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will do our best to help.
Once an order has been dispatched, any redelivery, safe place request or local collection will usually need to be arranged through the tracking link provided by the courier.
If a parcel is returned to us after a missed delivery or failed collection, we may need to charge the original delivery cost to send it again.
Returns
Our returns promise
We hope you love what you choose from us. If something is not quite right, most items can be returned within 28 days of delivery, as long as they are:
- unused
- in their original condition
- in their original packaging
- accompanied by proof of purchase
Returns are free. We will send you an online postage label, so there is nothing extra to pay. Please note: sale and reduced items can still be returned within 28 days, but return postage is the customer's responsibility on these.
Please keep all packaging until you are certain you are keeping your order, especially for lamps, lampshades and other fragile pieces.
How to start a return
To start a return, please email sales@homewiththerudds.com with:
- Your order number
- The item or items you would like to return
- A brief note if there is anything we should know
We will then reply with your prepaid return label, the return address and any packing guidance needed for fragile items.
Returning your item
Please return items with care.
- Lampshades should be boxed so that nothing presses against the fabric
- Lamps should be well protected, ideally in their original packaging
- Fragile items should be packed securely to protect them in transit
- We recommend keeping your proof of postage until your refund has been processed.
Refunds
Once your return has been received and checked, we will process your refund to the original payment method.
We aim to process returns within 5–7 working days of receipt, although your bank or card provider may take a few additional days to show the funds.
Exchanges
If you would prefer an exchange, please email us, and we will do our best to help, subject to stock availability.
Items that cannot usually be returned
Unless faulty, we are generally unable to accept returns on:
- Opened candles or diffusers
- Items marked Final Sale
- bespoke, personalised or made-to-order items
- items that have been used, altered or damaged after delivery
- Items returned without suitable packaging, where resale is no longer possible

Damaged or faulty items
If your order arrives damaged or you believe an item is faulty, please email sales@homewiththerudds.com as soon as possible, ideally with:
- Your order number
- Clear photographs of the item
- Photographs of the packaging, if relevant
We will review everything promptly and arrange the most appropriate solution, whether that is a replacement, repair or refund.
